Developing a peer mentoring programme

Welcome to Inkpots Mentoring - and thanks so much for your interest.

I work with 11 - 16 years old and spend a lot of my time in secondary schools. One of the most powerful projects I have been involved in is peer mentoring. In our case, Year 10 students supporting Year 7s - but it can work just as effectively with different year groups.

Every single time, this project has run, the effects are overwhelming.
  • Confidence grows
  • A realisation that students really have something to offer the school community develops.
  • Leadership skills emerge (and I often work with students who would not ever dream of putting themselves forward for a role of responsibility).
  • Team working becomes second nature.
I have put together a PDF for you which will walk you through the initial questions to kick start such a project. Please sign up below and it will be sent straight to your in-box.

Thanks again for your interest

By signing up, you’ll also get my monthly e-letter - Inkwell Notes - which I think you’ll find useful. It’s easy to unsubscribe any time though.
